Over the years
there have been many changes in training methods, off-season &
in-season diets, posing styles, suit selection, nutritional
supplements, tanning products and so on. Yet through all these
changes, the one thing that has always been a constant, and
always will be, is that there is ABSOLUTELY NO SUBSTITUTE FOR
BEING PREPARED !!
Any seasoned
competitor will tell you... to be your absolute best, you must
pay attention to every aspect of contest preparation. Contest
dieting is only one part, albeit a very important part, of the
whole package. True contest preparation is an ongoing process
that will only produce the results which reflect the focus and
intensity of effort each competitor gives.
Why
MPcontestprep.com ?
Besides the years of
experience as a winning competitor and competition trainer, it's
our owner's 15 years of experience viewing thousands of
competitors from the Judges' point-of-view that contribute what
we feel is an extra advantage for competitors to draw from. Who
better to relay to the competitor what the judges are truly
looking for than an actual NPC judge?
Many competitors make
the common mistake of depending on their friends, family
members, training partners, etc. to critique their physiques as
they are preparing to compete. Because this is not what they
do, it becomes extremely difficult to be critical of a friend or
loved-one, especially after seeing how hard the competitor is
working. A competitor needs a completely objective viewpoint.
Why? Because that's the kind of viewpoint they are going to be
subject to onstage. Don't put a friend or relative in that
position; and more importantly... don't put yourself in that
position.
A quote to remember:
" I once heard
Jeff say to one of his clients who was making changes on his on...not
following his program as Jeff had written it -
'Dude, you're head is
too deep in what you're doing to see what you should be doing.'
- owner Roger Morrison quoting the late Jeff McCarley of
contestprep.com
As we all know, not
everyone in a class can win the class. But a personal victory
can always be won by a competitor who doesn't necessarily win
his or her class, but achieves victory through the knowledge
that he or she came in as prepared as possible and in the best
shape possible. It's simply the peace of mind you have standing
on stage knowing you did everything you possibly could to
compete at your best. No Regrets... No Excuses.
At MPcontestprep.com - "
We're the difference between being a competitor and being
competitive." |
